Virtual Reality (VR) 3D Glasses

Today I want to talk about Virtual  Reality (VR) and the myriad of cheap Chinese goggles that are flooding onto the market. This year - 2016 - they're slated to be the biggest 'gadget' of the year.

Not wishing to spend a fortune on an expensive pair, I opted for what is probably the cheapest I could find that resembled more expensive devices - the 'VR Park 1' from Banggood. These are well made and work surprising good for the money. Accepting any mobile phone from 4-6'', inserting the phone and getting it working is child's play. A soft foam mat cushions it snugly in place. Adjustment - there's only one - is made via a wheel on top of the housing. It's basically just a case of turning it one way or the other until the image merges into one.

Suitable games and videos can be found on Google Play Store, and there are some interesting apps that play standard YouTube videos in pseudo 3D. One of this years scariest titles is '11:57',  a short horror movie for those of  you who don't suffer a nervous disposition. Definately NOT suitable for young children! 11:57 Nightmare

For the very best experience (not essential), your phone should be equipped with a gyroscope. That will enable it to be compatible with Google Cardboard apps and opens all sorts of possibilities.

Here's a link to the VR Park 1 product page on Banggood. They can be bought for an amazing $14:99 and that includes worldwide shipping!  VR PARK 1 VR 3D Goggles
